Since Polarbear White Shepherds is a very small operation Ruth only uses a few breeding dogs repeatedly over and over again. She has produced more litters than I have evidence for on this site.

The most current litter (June 2013) is out of her dog Qali. Since she has not posted info on her site yet the father is unknown however since the only male she has access to is her dog Casper it is most likely that these pups are another inbred litter. Casper and Qali are brother and sister. This is never an acceptable breeding. The closest breeding that is considered ok is a daughter to a grandfather never a brother to a sister. This causes many problems.


I have recently been in contact with a past puppy buyer of Ruth's. He purchased a pup out of Sugar and Casper. This dog has a very gay tail (it curls over his back like a husky) and also has been displaying unprovoked aggression towards his child and spouse. This is not the only case of Ruth's puppies having behavioral problems.




Ruth's recent litter (April 2013) who she claims is with Prince Caspian and Sugar Snowcloud has a false litter registration paper. Right on the paper it says that 10 puppies were born in the litter yet there were only 4 born. This is the wrong AKC litter registration paper and does not represent that litter.


Ruth also claims that she "temperament and intelligence tests" her puppies. She originally stated that the test they used was made up by her. She then had on her website that she uses the Volhard method, which is completely untrue unless she is planning on doing this with her next litters... unfortunately I can't find the screen shot of this information so take is however you wish... The Volhard method uses a number system to rank the behaviors tested. Ruth has never expressed this system in any of her puppy descriptions. On her recent litter she assigned a score to each puppy. This is meaningless unless you know what the score represents. They might as well just be random numbers.

Ruth also claims to be part of a "Natural Dog Rearing Association" which from my research seems to be a false association. There is a "Natural Rearing Breeders Association" however Ruth is not a part of this. There is also a "Natural Breeding" group out of Oregon but Ruth is not a part of this organization either. She has also failed to supply a link to whatever this association is so it is unclear as to weather this is even a legitimate organization.


Another red flag on her website is that she states she gives her puppies "early massage". It seems as though she is trying to suggest she uses Early Neurological Stimulation without directly saying that. "Early massage" is not Early Neurological Stimulation. She is falsely trying to suggest she does more with her pups than actually happens.
